Don't care for the Saturday morning super casual stuff (at least tuck your shirt in), but I agree with much of his message. I've heard the verses in Ezekiel preached several times over the years, even a little bit similar to this. I do appreciate the weaving of Scripture in to support his preaching points, although I would like more exposition. But I understand why he's doing what he's doing. As for the gist if the sermon, I find many points to agree with. He makes a better argument than I about voting for flawed candidates and I hope people took that message to heart. It's the only practical way for a Christian to address so many things in politics. There was only one perfect man and they nailed Him to a cross. He does overstate the number if Evangelicals. The number referenced is self-described, by the widest criteria. By theological definition, I think that number is probably around 30M. But that's quibble. I thought he preached a good sermon. Maybe Jon ought to give it a listen.

@Jolly said in Pats win!: Right now, Washington trails Tampa in the third. But guys, I'm tellin' ya, if Daniels can stay in one piece, he's going to make them a decent QB. Plenty of decent QBs out of the league by year 3.

Here’s my proposal the first two years of a PELL Grant can ONLY be used at a Community College or Trade School. Any student applying for a loan must pass an exam where they calculate out the monthly interest of the loan and show the the total amount paid over 10 years.

I always always do my research first and know who I want to see. I’ll usually take my PCPs recommendation because he’s very well connected in my system, but I still research them first. Physicians are not interchangeable widgets, which is why I despise the hospitalist system.

And you may beat him to it. Or I might. It is appointed unto all to die and then the Judgement.

Button down collar, necktie, ivy league haircut, dark suit. The Dave Brubeck Quartet is awesome. Dave looks a little like Joe Isuzu in the closeup. I have at least 2, maybe 3 copies of that tune.

Even with "perpetual" copyrights, there may be a way to make intellectual properties affordable and publicly accessible. For example: after X years, a copyrighted work maybe freely reproduced and made available according to a licensing fee structure prescribed by law. (Granted it will get complicated for derived works, but there may be solution there too.)

Teams hide injuries, especially to QB's. After he retired, it's come to light that Brees played with broken ribs, plantar fasciitis and his shoulder was shot for his last three years in the league. It's so bad, he has to throw left handed if he's playing with his kids in the yard and it will never recover. His last three... How we contain ourselves from joking about bombs on airplanes, is how we're gonna end up containing ourselves from joking about any violence any time.

@LuFins-Dad said in The Trump "Hush Money" Trial starts today: Well, he’s still not a convicted felon, and won’t be until after the election. I’m sure the campaigns will respect that fact and be precise in their language. One of Trump's former attorneys was on Gutfeld! last night and besides the obligatory yaks, he'd occasionally was serious....They were talking about disinformation and what actually constitutes it. It was his opinion that NYT vs. Sullivan needed to be revisited by SCOTUS, in light of our current access to information on the internet. With the ability to post a headline or a story in a matter of seconds, then change that story is seconds and then possibly take the story down in seconds, it was his contention that news creators should try their best to get things right about public figures, even if their choice in stories was biased. And that if a story was wrong or if a headline was intentionally misleading, creators should not be able to hide behind the 1st Amendment and should be open to suit for damages.

Plastic straw is a moot issue now as the industry has found good alternatives (e.g., biodegradable cellulose that feels and holds up in water for a long time much like plastic).
